Farming Legion Hold in World of Warcraft for Substantial Profits

There are certain locations in World of Warcraft that are just better than others for making gold. They are usually over farmed and tend to have certain conditions that can make the process just that much harder than you would like. However, in Legion Hold, you will find a tightly packed end-game location with dozens of mobs that can all provide solid returns for your farming efforts. What’s better is that if you know how to approach this area, you can make even more gold by effectively taking advantage of mob properties.

The Right Mobs at the Right Time

The goal when you reach Legion Hold should not simply be to make money by killing whoever you encounter and selling their drops. There are particular mobs in here that can be that much more valuable.

First, enter Legion Hold in Shadowmoon Valley and then go deep within the camp until you find the three pillars in the center being drained by the Warlocks there. These warlocks are usually in groups of three themselves and will respawn incredibly quickly, making it possible to kill them and have new ones at the ready for you to kill when you are done – a continuous loop of mobs with high drop rates of valuable items.

To give you an idea of what this often times get for you, these mobs will often drop Fel Armaments at a rate of about 5-7 per hour (even higher at times), Marks of Sargeras at 30-50 an hour and a whole slew of other simple drops like Netherweave Cloth (at least 100 an hour), cash, and greens. The occasional rare or even epic drop has been known to happen as well, making this an easy grinding location for anywhere between 150 gold and 250 gold an hour – even higher if you can manage a rare drop.

A Surprisingly Low Population

The reason this area is so useful for farming is that there are so few people here at many times. It is almost inexplicable really and is likely because by the time most players are ready to take on Legion Hold at Level 69 or 70, they are also ready to take on Level 70 instances and raids and buy their flying mounts. Whatever the reason, this is an area you can enjoy all by yourself if you get there at the right time.
